There are fine causes, with projects that are innovative, well conceived and truly inspired … but which, in order to succeed, need the strong support and encouragement of a committed partner.
The Fondation Bru is prepared to support and accompany such projects, in some cases quite simply making them possible.
Dr Nicole Bru
The Fondation Bru is sensitive to projects worldwide that correspond to its values and its fields of action. It does not call for applications; a committee meets regularly to review the projects that have been proposed using the form provided.

The exhibition Gilles Caron, The Conflict Within features over 150 images and unpublished archival documents. Through these archival documents - a selection of negatives, contact sheets, and historical clippings - the exhibition helps us rediscover one of the most important photojournalists of the mid-twentieth century.

In October 2012, two concerts are to be presented at BeiHang University (in Beijing), organised by the Fondation Bru, with a programme devised by the Palazzetto Bru Zane - Centre de musique romantique française, a centre created by the Fondation Bru in Venice and devoted to obtaining greater recognition for French composers of the years 1780–1920 and to the rediscovery of forgotten works.
In a short, dazzling and prolific career, Gilles Caron (1939-1970) became an icon of photojournalism. Yet while his photographs are remembered and are part of our heritage, the man himself has been almost forgotten since his death.
Created by the photographer’s family, the Gilles Caron Foundation aims to bring greater recognition to the man himself and to keep his work as an artist alive.
The first official graduation ceremony of École Centrale Beijing took place on 7 January 2012. The 75 graduates, who had been recruited in 2005 at Baccalauréat (GaoKao) level to join the first class of undergraduates at the school – the Nicole Bru Class – received their engineering diplomas from École Centrale and at the same time their Master’s degree from the Beijing Aeronautic and Astronautic University (Beihang).
